Member of the Latvian Dental Association.
Head of the Department of Periodontology of the Institute of Stomatology of Riga Stradiņš University, lecturer.

Established training course in periodontology for students and residents.

Author of scientific publications.

In 1986 graduated the Faculty of Dentistry of the Riga Medical Institute.
From 1986 to 1987 was on an internship in the Central Hospital of Dobele District.

Attends scientific conferences and professional courses on a regular basis.

In May 2000 during an exchange programme attended a course about the training of dentistry students and organisation of work in periodontology in the Dental Clinic of Munich University.
In February 2001 took part in courses in periodontology of the University of Chicago which took place in Vilnius, Lithuania.
In June 2001 attended Congress of European Periodontologists in Geneva, France.
In February 2004 took part in courses of the University of Chicago which took place in Riga.
In June 2004 attended courses Use of Laser in Dentistry in Biberach, Germany.
In May 2004 attended 1st European Conference of Reconstructive Periodontal Therapy, Vienna.
In November 2005 attended 2nd European Conference of Reconstructive Periodontal Therapy, Copenhagen.
In June 2006 attended 5th European Congress of Periodontology, Madrid, Spain.
In June-August 2006 took part in the International Summer School for Clinical Periodontology and Implantology in Heidelberg, Germany.
In April 2008 took part in the 2nd Quintessence Symposium in Periodontology in Berlin, Germany.
In January 2009 attended the 6th European Congress of Periodontology, Stockholm, Sweden.
In July 2009 attended the courses Microsurgery of Periodontal Tissue in Riga, Latvia.
In October 2009 attended the courses Insertion of Microimplants in Riga, Latvia.
In July 2010 attended interdisciplinary courses of Orthodontics and Periodontology in Riga, Latvia.
